Terry Lundgren speaks at the Morehouse Leadership Lecture Series

Each year, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s recruit hundreds of new college graduates into entry level executive positions. They include buyers, planners, store management executives, product managers, systems developers, website developers, accountants, human resources and financial analysts – everything an industry-leading retailer needs to win with the customer. As we hire from campuses, we are looking for high-caliber, diverse talent who have the right skill set and the drive to be successful. We seek smart, hard-working, self-motivated and entrepreneurial students who want to accelerate into leadership roles. These are the kind of students every company wants to hire.

Terry Lundgren, Macy’s, Inc. chairman, president and CEO, feels so strongly about recruiting our future leadership that he personally spends time on various college campuses talking to students. He recently spoke at Emory University in Atlanta and also at the Morehouse Leadership Lecture Series, where students from Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta were in attendance. “You have heard me say many times that the key to our successful business is the talent of our people,” Lundgren said. “We must invest in tomorrow’s leaders to continue this legacy. It is vital that we have a presence on America’s college campuses."
