Macy's was proud to again be the Diamond sponsor of the 25th Annual NAAAP National Convention and Diversity Career Fair in Boston, on August 11 - 13, 2011, held at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center.
A Macy's welcome table at registration provided an opportunity for each convention registrant to be greeted and receive a Macy's welcome packet and gift card. Over two hundred NAAAP members attended the Travel in Style runway fashion show hosted by Macy's downtown Boston store, which featured NAAAP Boston members as models in addition to the professional models. Macy's raffled off a $300 shopping spree, and Shiseido raffled off two gift baskets valued at $750.
At the Diversity Career Fair, Macy's cosmetic partner, Shiseido, provided the latest in colors, skin care , men's services and sun analysis. With any Shiseido purchase of $150 or more, attendees received a complimentary White Lucent deluxe skincare sample collection. Macy's Human Resources representatives accepted resumes and talked about career opportunities at Macy's, and Macy's Boston store set up a small outpost that featured some of the fashions being shown during the fashion show.
